Ed Philips and the Memphis Patrol are one of the most successful rockabilly bands in Hungary, formed in Budapest in 2011. The group consists of Ed Philips (lead vocals), WildCow Sonny (guitar), Singer (bass/upright bass) and Little Tommy (drums).
The band performs Elvis Presley songs in their own unique style. Being different from the usual style of Elvis tributes today is important to Ed. Ed Philips and the Memphis Patrol are offering a different approach to each song of the King. They prefer not to be called a tribute but a cover band as they find different ways to play the backing music from the original tracks.
The band played many gigs in Hungary, but they’re also touring around Europe, played in 10 countries successfully, both festivals and clubs.
